Avidyne Appoints Extant Aerospace to Provide Exclusive Repair & Exchange Services for EX5000 MFDs
Extant Aerospace will now be the worldwide repair center for Avidyne’s EX5000 MFDs; Partnership ensures long-term support for large installed base of EX5000s.
Lincoln, MA – Monday, October 19, 2015 –
Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated avionics and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, announced today that they have extended their licensing agreement with Extant Aerospace of Melbourne, Florida to provide exclusive aftermarket repair and exchange support for Avidyne’s EX5000 and EX5000C multifunction displays (MFD) as well as sustaining manufacture of related circuit cards and subassemblies.
Avidyne will continue to field initial EX5000 MFD service calls from authorized dealers and service centers, as well as from aircraft, operators requiring information or assistance with product troubleshooting and new or existing AeroPlan® warranty prior to directing on to Extant for the appropriate level of support.
Under the terms of the agreement, Extant will provide exclusive aftermarket repair and exchange support for the EX5000 and EX5000C MFDs, as well as sustaining manufacture of related circuit cards and subassemblies.
Repair and service of Avidyne’s EX5000s will be fully transitioned to Extant within the next thirty days, and customers will not experience any interruption in service or delays in quoted turn-around times.
Repairs and support for Avidyne's legacy 5-RR Flight Situation Display (FSDs), FlightMax® 440, 450, 640, 650, 740, 750, 800, 850, 950 and EX500-series MFDs will continue to be provided by Duncan Aviation of Lincoln, NE.
All EX600 MFD repairs will continue to be handled by Avidyne through our Melbourne repair facility.
